Spare tire mount in Freelander

Have a new Freelander 22QB arriving in a week. I want to carry a spare in the large basement in this coach. Why is it so difficult to get any information from FR or Coachmen on the parts to do this safely?

Did you resolve this? I've same question on mounting spare wheel/tire below QB28.

Please let me know if resolved and what was done.

Sorry for slow reply.

The mount is just a flat plate approx 5"x13" with two metric thread nuts welded to it. This plate screws to the forward wall in the basement with 5 wood screws then you bolt the wheel to the plate.

No idea why FR decided to use 14mm bolts to hold the wheel on. This size makes it hard and expensive. I ended up re-tapping to 3/4-11 and made some short bolts (about 1" long.

I suppose FR could have made this harder to do but not sure how. If you have access to tools you could certainly make a plate for less than the $35 it cost me.
