My 2016 surveyor 265rlds has had multiple problems since purchased . My dealer has handled most of them such as tear in slide roof , water pump leakage and a host of other quality control issues.
My current issue began with a defective tire that Forest river would not replace under the extended warranty even though it was listed as covered. Instead I have been jumping thru hoops to try to convince them the tire had an internal flaw causing it to fail. They cited a possible chassis problem requiring me to go thru extensive measurement and frame manufacturer evaluation since their tire supplier told them it wasn't a tire issue.
To make a long story a little shorter
I did the measurements and found everything to be in order within 1/16" of square and true over the length of the chassis
We have always wondered why at every level campsite and parking area we have always had to raise the right side of the trailer 1 1/2 to 2 1/8" to get an accurate side to side level. We thought the weight distribution when manufactured may be heavier on the right side
As a last resort I measured the spring / frame distance while sitting level with the trailer sitting on the tires and with the weight picked completely off the suspension
I found both springs on the right side to be 1 to 1.3/8" closer to the frame both compressed and free floating ,with the rear spring even showing some physical deformity and elongating.
I am hoping when I present this newfound tech information to the Forest River warranty department they will honor my claim and at least supply me the materials to resolve this several month long issue
Has anyone else had similar difficulties resolving warranty issues?
Thanks
WRB.

Thanks for the input. I was starting to feel pretty alone out there. I have been trying to resolve this issue for months with no results. Quality has definitely suffered between my old Flagstaff and new Surveyor.
I wait patiently with fingers crossed.
