Stabilizer jack upgrade

I have a 26RLSS TT with stock stabilizer jacks. The jacks are so flimsy that when I lower them with the drill they wiggle so much I think they may fall off! I have several questions:

I was wondering if it was worth upgrading and if so what to upgrade to?

How do you size them? Since they are stabilizers and not leveling I don't think you can size them by weight.

i felt the same way you do...too flimsy. but i believe the new design is better now. with the stabilizers, you level the coach by driving on blocks, then stabilize. the new motorized lipperts auto adjust to stabilize equally. with levelers, you can crank a couple inches to level. but your coach was built on its wheels. with levelers that entry door may hang up, that slide out may bind. old coot has a strengthening mod you can do.

Get some 1.5 ton scissors jacks from Walmart ($19 each). I replaced the flimsy stab jacks at the rear and added two more just in front of the axles. Fastenal has self threading bolts with 1/2 inch hex heads (1 inch long) for mounting. If your LP line is under the frame you can use 1 inch square metal tubing to offset the jack welded to a 6x6" metal plate 3/16 thick is fine.
