Stabilizer stuck

When I tried to put my rear stabilizer down it was stuck. It took several tries to break it lose. The gear under there looks dry. Should it be greased? I am afraid if I put grease on it it will collect dirt. Any advice and ideas?

Put a dry lubricant on the screw and when you bring them up, try not to jam them tight...
