Steadyfast bars

I have a 2011 Flagstaff V-Lite 30 WRLS and am considering installing Steadyfast bars to help eliminate trailer shaking after setup. Do they work? Will installation damage the frame?

Their installation is very typical of triangulation stabilizers so no frame concerns. The maker of the SteadyFast system made a good argument on one of my blog posts - I'd actually give them a shot if I had to buy a system next time.

I don't have the Steadyfast on my 5er cause of where the spare wheel is located. It would need modified. I still might do it. However my good friend had it his last camper and put it on his current one. It is ROCK SOLID. I wouldn't hesitate at all. I've seen it in action and its great.

I've had the SteadyFast stabilizers on our camper for 2 years and am satisfied with them. Also use homemade chocks that fit between the tires (like rotochock) and a jackstand on each side close to the axles...eliminates most of the movement.

I use the bal stabilizers on my 5th wheel with xchocks on the tires. The trailer is rock solid, no shaking. I chose the bal brand because they are a great cheaper then most brands and they work great. This is not my trailer, but I only put the front ones on mine for the side to side motion, that is all I needed.

Its hard to tell from you profile pic and since you don't have your unit listed in your signature line it appears you have a sabre.
If so the spare tire is located in the front storage bay and hangs below frame ?

If so you can still add stabilizers as I did mine. "Look in profile"
You don't need two side to side in front.

One from d/s frame to lower pass. Side leg . "Side to side"
And one from pass. Side frame to pass. Side leg "for and aft"

All you need is triangulation and that method cures it.

Imo you don't need two criss crossing in the front "side to side" and two either side going "for and aft"

Mine is as solid as others with the for mentioned "four bars"

I have a 2013 365saq Sandpiper. The spare wheel is located on the exterior under the front storage. It hangs down the full depth off the tire and is flush if not slightly in front of the front lower edge off the camper under the door. The only mod I may need to do is flip the foot on the Steadyfast so it protrudes forward and maybe weld an extension to it so the crossbar clears the wheel enough. Will see. The PIper is a long unit. Almost 42'. Even with xchocks, tripod, rear stabs cranked, and a couple of A frame universal stabs under the frame in a couple of places it still moves as the kids move around back there. The universals helped a lot tho I must say.

I have Winfields since they do the side to side WITHOUT drilling any holes. and they tighten better than the thumbscrews. With these, rotochocks and the rear stabs thing are steady.

Try Xchocks first. My V-lite would almost make us seasick with the rockin' & rollin'. The Xchocks have eliminated almost all of it, but not all. It could be a 2 digit fix vs. a 3 digit fix.
