Storm Prep - Should I lower stabilizers?

Doing final prep for Flo. TT is parked behind my garage on concrete pad. I don't intend to stay in it unless we're without power for several days post-storm.

Question: Should I lower the stabilizers now? Would that provide a measure of additional stability in the wind (currently forecast to be tropical storm strength here but Flo has been quite unpredictable thus far)? Or, would the winds be more likely to just damage the stabilizers?

Yes, put stabilizers down. If they get damaged it's gonna be MUCH more than stabilizers.

Stabilizers are down whenever our trailer is parked, camping or at the storage unit!

I went to my storage area and lowered the stabilizers on my TT in preparation for IRMA when it was looking like it was a definite for my area. The only disadvantage is if it floods, it may be difficult to get at them to raise them and head to higher ground.

I saw on tv, where a guy put straps over his Airstream. It looked as though he had loops in cement he hooked on to.

If I had that much money invested in a TT, I'd be out there holding it down with my bare hands, if necessary!
