Tire
I got my crusader 260 home, luv it, I picked it up last week. Now here's the problem, the left rear tire is flat. I tried to air it up but air come out fast as I fill, there is a large u shaped tear on the inside sidewall. I only drove 11 miles to my home, with my wife following,I didn't hit anything( I promise if I did my wife would have let me know it),I was going to take it off and bring it to the dealer Monday, but there is one lug nut that will not budge. I am using an impact driver to remove, need advice I don't think I should be responsible for a new tire, this tire was low at the dealer when I went to take pictures before delivery, but was ok at walk thru.
Please give advice.

be glad it failed at home. What you most like have is china bombs. So expect more of the same. That is until you get rid of them.

This doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the type of tire, China "bombs" or not. It sounds like something cut the tire, and could have happened on the delivery trip, or even at the dealer. If it was low at the dealer and they just kept topping up the air pressure, they need to come claen and explain why they didn't tell you about it. Don't take any bs from them if they knew about it.

yep, sounds cut not defective to me. Got a pic? could it have contacted something in the wheel well? I had to trim off a couple corners of my fender skirts when I got mine home. There was a piece of metal about 1/2" from the tire and would make contact on bumps occasionally. After time I'm sure it could have cut the tire. I don't buy into all this "china bomb" hype either. I've had 2 trailers with "china bombs" but they must have been duds. I keep them air up, covered when parked, and replace them when they get old and have yet to have one explode. Low tires get hot and hot tires go boom. Sure the possibility exists that ANY tire could have a defect that causes a blow out but it makes me wonder how many blowouts are self inflicted......of coarse the owner always blames it on the tire..... he/she would never admit that they haven't checked their air pressure or inspected their tires in the last 6 months....... that would be silly.

During the walk thru I was told the air pressures were set at 80 psi, since I went less than 15 miles home I didn't recheck, tire has 65 psi on it max when cold, maybe overfilled

If the tire says "65 max psi" then that's the proper pressure. If they filled the tires to 80 psi they could have possibly damaged/weakened the tires.

It may not be so simple.
There was a run of campers that had the wrong type tires installed.
There is a whole thread on the mistake here somewhere.
Camper was supposed to have E rated tires installed but D rated tires were put on at the factory. This maybe a repeat of a hit.
The error was discovered when the yellow sticker was compared to the brochure. The GVW of the camper was WAY too high for 4 D rated tires.
I will try to locate the thread because it had the model number of the camper in it.

Well I went to get my tire today, it was a different brand, the dealer doesn't keep Road Rider tires. Being the number one dealer of Primetime trailers in the USA just seems odd, so back to square one.
I did try to call Primetime today, left two messages with no return call.

Worse case I could put at spare, really prefer not to, they could just swap tires with a new one, we will see tomorrow. Manager was off today

What about the lug nut,you left that hanging? If it were my trailer,or truck I would want all tires to be the same. Nothing looks as bad as (1) white side wall tire on a vehicle!! Youroo!!

Seems my air wrench gave it up, a friend came over with a 4 way and it came off easy, felt really dumb.

Mine came with the wrong sticker for tire inflation-----
My Rv came with the DOT sticker showing 65 PSI for a "C" rated tire. FR replaced the VIN and DOT sticker, because of wrong info. "C" rated tires were installed on the 5VR.
The person inflating the tires must have gone to the same school as the "LUG NUT UNIVERSITY for LUG NUT 101"
