I checked the spare and its a 225 that matched the rest of the tires. So I'm guessing it had an upgrade at the factory.

In the future providing the complete tire size and Load Range would be of help.
ST205/75R14 LR-C vs LT225/70R15 LR-D are completely different capacity tires.

The "sticker" is the minimum needed to meet the stated load capacity per law. You, the owner can always upgrade your tires but should never change to tires with lower capacity than those shown on the sticker.

I write a blog on RV tire application and safety.
Also give seminars on tires at RV events across the US. 40 years experience as tire design & quality engineer for major tire mfg. Freelander 23QB on Chevy chassis is my RV

If the 225's didn't rub anywhere, stick with that size, and go to load range "D". Never hurts to have a little spare load capacity. And your aluminum rims will handle the 65 psi of D-rated tires.
