Tire recall

Through this this forum I noticed someone talking about their tires being on a recall list. I pull up the safercar.gov website and sure enough, my tires are included.
So with pen and paper and pertinent info I call Lionshead Specialty Tire. They deny having any knowledge of this recall and even if it was recalled the cutoff date of said recall was Sept 1st. I told them where I got the info and that the recall that she was talking about was the second one on the list and that I was talking about the other recall. Still no knowledge.
I dont want to keep the tires, chinabombs is what they are. But if I can get new ones, maybe I can recoup my some of my $ when I buy Maxxis.
Any idea on how to get someone with authority to get something done? My tires are Vail Sport ST LH99, 225/75D15. Recall subject: missing load range designation/FMVSS 119
I tired to call safercar.gov but after being on hold for 30 mins and still not talking to anybody. I gave up.

It makes me wonder if Lionshead is financially stable. Normally, on a recall, you do your utmost to get the tires off the market as quick as possible. I've never even heard of a cutoff date being implemented.

I might advise calling your trailer dealer, or Forest River.

BTW, we try to keep a list of recalled tires stickied here:

Thanks for the link. One day when I am in Monroe, I need to cross the river and come see your place of business!
