Tire Size 2003 Salem Lite

Hope this goes to the right place in theTire thread.

I have a 2003 Salem lite with the original tires...Carlisle ST205-75 R15...always though they were perty puny looking from the start.

OK I know I've cheated the time line etc for tire life but now want to know where I can find the proper size for replacement...judging that the manufacturer probably put on the smallest tire they could get away with for the GVWT.

If you would believe it the spare is a ST225-75 R15 with a six hole rim...trailer has five hole rims. I will take this up TOMORROW with the dealer I bought the rig from in 2003...not too observant on my part...just glad I never had to change it on the road.

Bottom line what size / brand tire should I get for this rig?? What AM I looking for in an RV trailer tire. Do drive some gravel and rough roads to get where I want to be in Idaho.

Maybe you should consider a Bias tire. Their tread pattern is more favorable to your road conditions. Here is a reference to a popular brand.

M8009 ST Bias
