Tires that aren't goodyear endurance

Looking at replacing the tires on my 2509. Not because they need it, but because my utility trailer needs new tires and they're the same size. With only about 3500 miles on them and little wear showing, I'd rather just swap my OEMs off the minilite to the utility, and buy better ones for the mini. Plan to upgrade to load D tires.

I know Goodyear Endurance are good, but the main goodyear dealer in the area is one I refuse to give business to thanks to a horrible experience years ago. Who's running Maxxis M8008, Kenda Karrier, Carlise Radial Trails or others and what is your opinion of them? If push comes to shove I'll just order the goodyears online and take them somewhere to get mounted but I'd rather give a local shop my business.

I've got one full year out of my Carlisles. So far no issues at all. Very happy with them. I went from load range C to load range D.

Is there an independent tire dealer near you? I bought my Endurance tires from American Tires, at probably a better price then the Goodyear dealer that was near.

On our previous Mini Lite I bought Goodyear Endurance load range D from Discount Tire online delivered to my house. Took two wheels off at a time and took them to my auto mechanic to change over and balance. Couple hour job.

The Carilse's hd trails are great tires and on par with the GY E . the jury is still out on the good yr but so far they seem to be as good as the Carilse's

I'm running Mastercraft brand D range tires. I have had great service with this brand on my CJ5 and Ram 1500 4x4 so I figured I would try their ST tires.

Just be careful with Discount Tire online as I have yet to find a dealer that will install tires not bought from the dealer.

Go to another Goodyear dealer or order them online and have them installed. Tire shops are everywhere. Forget the other brands and buy Endurance.

The three most mentioned replacement tires on all R/V forums are Goodyear Endurance, Maxxis M8008 and Carlisle HD. (in no particular order)

I have Maxxis on both my travel trailer and my boat trailer. Great tires.

I ran Maxxix 8008's for four years before I purchased a set of Goodyear Endurance. My experience, they are equally as good as Goodyear. I don't think you will be disappointed in them. Good luck!

Goodyear dealers and Goodyear company stores are different... when I bought mine 2 years ago the company store beat the dealer's price by a bunch.

You can order online at the goodyear website and have them shipped and make a time to have them installed one-stop shopping...

don't forget to have the rubber valve stems changed to metal ones for the higher pressures of D rated...

We got a great deal on Endurance from Discount Tires. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a sale. So you may want to wait on that.

Also, just found out our local store fixes flats for free!
Plugged and patched and balanced. WOOHOO.

Great Customer Service too. The techs come over and shake your hand and tell you what they found.

In this day and age. Nice

I bought 4 new Cordovan MaxTow STR on the recommendation of a local dealer I trust. They are now 2 years old and I have approx. 10K km on them, no complaints at all so far.

I ve used Carisles for years, very happy with them, I now have goodyear with a couple thousand miles on them, very happy with them. I hurd the maxxis is a very good tire. I would say, any any of those three would work

I ran Carlisle for years on smaller trailers. Never a problem.

go to Goodyear.com you can order tires on line and have them delivered to an authorized installer..... there will be a number of installers listed...you can choose the one you want and they will be sent to him...:my friend just did that and chose Mavis instead of the Goodyear store...I have well over 10000 miles on a set... went from 205/75/14 to a 215/75/14 D rated on a coachmen 281 rlds

Although Maxxi makes a very good tire I wonder where I would get help when traveling, if I needed it.
There are a greater number of Good Year dealers around the country.
If you are a USAA member you can purchase the Good Year tires at a 25% discount, via the USAA web site and pick the dealer that you want to mount them.
