Torque Needed

Where do I find out how much torque is needed for my travel trailer tires?

The first place I would look is the owner's manual, which can be downloaded from the FR web site. I keep a copy of that (it's a PDF) on my phone for quick reference... <Ctrl + F> in a PDF is your friend.

what exactly are you driving or towing and are they steel or aluminum wheels?

more often then not 100# is thrown around for TT wheels... that is what I use for my 14" aluminum wheels, but yours may be different...

this chart might help get you in the ballpark... scroll down till you see the chart then click on it

On my rig, among all of the junk stickers that got put on, there is a useful pair for tire torque. One on each side above the wheels. For my aluminum wheels, torque spec is 100 ft/lbs.

10-4. 14" aluminum. Micro Lite 25 BRDS. Thanks. It says 90-120, so 100 sounds pretty safe bet. To check the torque on the tires do I have to jack up the trailer or can I properly do this while it is parked? I just do not want to over torque it.

You don't have to and should not jack the trailer... it'd be pretty difficult to torque the lugs to 100 ft-lbs with the wheel off the ground and able to spin freely.

Amen - and lots of other PDFs for various features on our fifth wheel.

I asked Forest River for our specific model and was told 100 pounds torque.
