Tow Vehicle tire load ranges

Im looking to replace the tires on my 2500 Ram it has a 265/70/17 E load range max load 3195@80psi. I want a larger diameter tire as these are small at under 32" I pull my camper on the beach during the summer and want a taller sidewall for airing down and wider footprint for pulling thru the sand. Its tough to find an E load rating in a 35" tire wich is what I want as im regearing from a 3.73 to a 4.56 to make life easier on this gasser. Most of the D load range tires are rated at 50-65psi and have weight ratings that the E rated tires have (3195+). I realize the main difference is an 8 vs 10 ply sidewall. Tongue weight on my TT is in the 1200lb area. Should I make sticking with an E rating a priority here?

I would stick with E rated tires. You might check Nitto and Hankook, they have some bigger 10 ply tires that are a/t & m/t.
I use Nitto trail grapplers in a 295/70/18, (4080 Lb rating single) which is about 34.5" tall- classified a 35". Before I had Hankook Dynapro M/T in the 285/75/16- about 33" tall.

With the weights you have I think you are limited to tires that at least cover your RWAR so a load range D or E tire should work - Tire Search Results - all of these seem to meet the weight requirements and may cover off your foot print on sand requirement but you may give up some handling on pavement
