TowMax?

I was out where my Surveyor TT is stored Saturday fixing my cracked skylight. I decided to look over absolutely everything else. My left front tire looked like it was wearing unevenly. It wasn't... a 12" section of one of the tread ribs is separating. This is a 2012 trailer that I bought just over a year ago, and it's been towed by me less than 2K miles. Not real happy right now... I really like this trailer, but is is now becoming a pain in the arse... I sold a sailplane to buy this... so... it appears I've traded a hole in the air into which to throw money, for a hole in the driveway...

I also have a 2012 camper that I replaced tires on last month. The tires they come with are junk and just barely enough to carry camper. I went up a load range and to a maxxis. I like them a lot so far.

I had the Tow Max Power Kings on my 2010 Surveyor 186 and had them on trips at least once a month for 3.5 years. Never a problem with them. Now have the same tires (well, the same brand) on a 2013 Surveyor 220, but will continue to keep an eye on them. I'd prefer D-rated Kumho tires, which I had on a previous trailer, but will keep these for a while unless I see some problem.
