TPMS
I just had my 2nd valve stem failure.
I have the TST507
Rubber Valve stems
The stems are not that old; are these possibly the reason for the failures?
I am going to convert to rigid valve stems.

The centrifugal weight of the sensors cause the rubber to split. To use any that screw on a stem you need metal stems. Sorry, but that's how it is or keep replacing the rubber ones.

Lord I have more miles on truck, 125,000 miles so far plus truck before this truck. All with rubber stems, never a problem. Metal stems came on this camper but rubber stems on 3500 Silverado. Have TST 507 non flow through

You are lucky. Reading all the different posts on here about problems with the screw on sensors on rubber stems having problems, I dont think is worth the chance. A shop I go to for repairs I cant do, and also rents RVs told me to use the steel stems just for that reason. I have known him for years and trust his advice. Another problem with rubber stems is the tire pressure. Most are not rated for higher pressures and can blow out with a tpms attached. But thats what I read here and was told, so I dont have a problem using the metal stems.

It's kinda of funny but the tire shop where I buy my tires at has never put metal stems on rims and tires is all he sells and he sells a lot of tires. I speed on the truck too, on the interstate 75 to 80. I feel lucky I think I'll play the lottery, might win that 700 million

A lot also has to do with tire pressure. Guy I go to also works on trucks. I don't have on my pickup but I do on the trailer w/tpms.

I have the 507 CAP System
Per Mfg & verified by CSR rubber stems are OK on this system. I'm still thinking of switching over to the metal stems due to my luck.

TST
mfMcFroggierPo,
Hi its Mike with TST. Our TST 507RV Cap is approved for Rubber Valve Stems, and many people use them with no problem. I am surprised you have had this happen not only but twice. I would switch to a metal stem. At the end of the day a metal stem is better than a rubber stem, less probability of leaking, more durable.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
I am always available on my direct cell phone at 210-420-0132
Thank you,
Mike Benson
