Thanks to everyone for the discussion. I'm definitely getting a system now. If for no other reason for the total failure of a tire. I did not check the tire pressure before we left Wednesday and it may well have been low. I did my final walk-around before pulling and the tires didn't "look" low. Now, I'll gauge them every time just to be sure....at least until my TPMS comes in.

The discussion that ensued from this question is exactly why I love this site so much. I've been doing this for a month now, and to hear from folks that have done this for years is invaluable!

Thanks again to everyone! I'll post again when my TPMS system comes in.....

Data to back this contention up?

Don't believe you can find anything even referencing it on the NTSB website.

If you want to read the installation and owners manual on this system before buying, go to Great RV Products

I just ordered the 4 sensor 507 TST system with the repeater (just to be safe). I will likely order 6 more for the truck later. I was really wanting to know what is going on back there.

Thanks for the discussion folks!

Cool! You won't need the repeater but I guess you can return it.

Don't think you'll need the repeater, mine will read over 50' away from the trailer.

Passthrough allows you to add air without removing the sensor.

I just saw that they have in tire sensors now.

507 is their model number. The pass-through mean you can put air in or let are out without taking of the sender unit. On their other model, you actually have to take off the sender to add air. From where I ordered, there is no difference in price, so not sure why they kept the old, non-pass-through model.
