Non pass throughs are lighter and put less stress on the stem. I like them better.

Just got the TireMinder Tire Pressure Monitoring System from CW and used it this weekend and it worked great. Like it so far.

So can you remove the sending unit and put it back on without reprogramming and a big hassle?

Sure can, just mark the sensors with the position and put them back on the same tire on the trailer.
Here's what I did.

I took a paint pin and marked LF, LR, RF & RR on the top of the sensors themselves and put them in the container shown. Then when I get ready to go, just check pressures and inflate if necessary and install the sensors back in their proper position on the trailer.

No problem, we're all on the forum to help and get help. Some of us (me especially) need all the help we can get, especially on electrical problems.

It is almost 45' from the dash to the rear axle of the trailer. I was not sure if I would get interference.

I can only relate my experience but I only have a 31' 5er. I know when I unhook, I can be over 50' away and still get readings.

You will not have problem. I test mine before every trip with my truck in the garage and my trailer on the drive and never have reception problems

To be safe, I would call and ask if you don't open it and find out you don't need it can you return it for a refund. I found out they are pretty easy to work with. At least worth a call.

Yeah, that is probably the best approach.

Thanks for the discussion folks!

Next point: Although the 507 sensors are lighter than the 510's were, it's still a really good idea to use all-metal valve stems. Hopefully you already have those or are planning to have them installed?

Yeah I just swapped the Powerking D rated for Marathon E rated and put metal stems in!
