Hooked onto our 2013 Sabre yesterday to prepare for a trip from our seasonal site. We noticed when braking the unit lurched quite a bit back and forth, no skidding of tires but wondering what is causing this, any ideas?
I would first check your brake controller to make sure the boost settings were right. then look at the 7 pin connection. from there I would look at the trailer wiring and servos. Finally pull the wheels and drums to look at the mechanical aspect. fix anything that ain't right.

After sitting for a while rust will develop on the brake drums where the magnet meets the steel. This rust will cause the magnet to grab and jerk instead of acting smoothly. Depending on how much rust it may wear off after a couple of miles or if it has pitted the steel badly you will have to resurface or replace them.
Your brakes work by applying a voltage to these magnetics. The magnetics then clamp to a steel disc and the internal cam mechanism applies the brakes. The higher the voltage sent to the magnetics the more brake force applied.
Check your brake controller manual. Go through the setup procedure. Usually this will fix the problem. If not you will probably have to pull the drums and have a look.

Mine does this when the "level" lever on the brake controller is out of alignment. I'd advise that you consult the manual for brake controller setup and adjustment before looking at the brakes.
