Trailer Express Tires

I have seen several posts about bad things with these tires. I checked my new Windjammer and it has a set of these tires on it. We plan on taking the trailer to Alaska in 2014. Will be using it closer to home (Florida) until then. Does anyone have any good things to say about this brand?

Maybe the factory reps can chime in if they are monitoring this forum.

We got 7500 miles out of ours before we had to replace 3 in 5 days on a trip to South Dakota last year. When I posted about my tire woes it seems like I was one of the lucky ones to get that many miles on mine before they started coming apart. No way would I go from Florida to Alaska on them. I upgraded to a Load D tire but more important, try to find some American made tires.

Thanks, when we go to Alaska I need tires capable of making the round trip without incident.

For the A trip replace the (New) spare also,tires in A are very $$ and cheap made. Youroo!!

I got less than 3,000 miles out of mine (my woes are posted here somewhere). Three went on the same trip home. A trip that should have been 5 hours was over 14 by the time we finally made it home. I'd say for your short trips on Florida, you may be okay. But for any other longer trip, and especially before Alaska, get new tires.

I won't promote any tire brand, but would suggest you get a new set before making the trip. I would also highly recommend you review the link attached and care for your tires. I found you can't treat or think of your trailer tires the same way you do your car tires.
