TRP Bearing Cap

I was out looking at the trailer tonight and got thinkin about bearings and how often to grease them... We bought the trailer last August (26TBQB) and I looked today and it has a bearing cap with "TRP" on them and a rubber cap....

Anyone know any more about these? I'm going to call the dealer and find out a recommended grease, but I'm not sure of how they work.. I have Bearing Buddy's on my quad trailer, but have been reading on some "over greasing" horror stories with trailer brake issues...

just as many under greasing too. Behind the rubber seal is a grease zert to give those bearings a shot of grease. Look in your book to determine if you have alco axels. The cap should be removed if greasing the bearings. That rubber seal can give you the dick'ns trying to get it back in. All bearings should be removed, cleaned, inspected, repacked, and reinstalled with new seals annually.
