Truck System Technologies (TST) Issues?

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems in dealing with Truck Systems Technologies (TST), the makers of tire pressure monitoring systems, such as the TST 507?
I sent my TST 507 monitor back to the firm the first week in January of this year, after experiencing significant signal loss problems for over a year. The product is still under warranty and the company advised me to return it to them for repair/replacement. They cautioned however, that they were backlogged as manufacturing apparently couldn't keep up with demand (?). After waiting for over two months now, with no monitor and after e-mails & telephone calls to the firm with no results, I am beginning to wonder if there aren't serious issues with TST. I purchased the system from this firm based on positive comments in this forum on their outstanding customer service as well as their products. Now left to wonder what's going on?

No, but interesting.

One year ago, I talked at length via email with their President, and on phone with a nice lady there. I had just bought the camper and wanted a tire monitor. They both told me "BIG THINGS are coming soon".......so I waited. They were at FROG but when I asked about the "Big Things" they said "Oh, there are a few problems, it should be 2 months more".

One year later, nothing.

I think (?) the big things are just a monitor that's solar powered on dash and color. Not sure. But I have opted for other big ticket items and squirming because I don't have a tire monitor system yet. I hate to buy the last of some old technology.

Hoping to hear better things about them here.........

Any word from TST yet on your units? Was planning on switching from the flow thru to cap style sending units as I have not needed to add air when traveling and I have a sender that is starting to act up with age. I have changed the batteries but I think water still finds its way into the senders in heavy rain as that seems to be when the issues start. Have had the 707 for about 5 years now and they paid for themselves at least twice over. One tread separation that was a slow leak, alarm sounded, still 5 psi in tire when we got off freeway and onto side of road in a neighborhood to put on spare. Second was a blowout on rough road that we did not hear the bang. Just the alarm, looked at monitor and showed 0 psi. That one was a side of freeway change. Very good product and would hate to see them dissappear.

I was finally able to talk to their service rep earlier this week and inquire as to the status of my monitor. Lo and behold, she just happened to have my UNOPENED package, that I had sent over 2 months ago, on her desk. I was shocked, that in all that time, they hadn't even looked at it! She asked if there was any immediate need for action and I told them that I was planning on leaving on a spring road trip next week, so...YES! She told me that as this was now urgent that they would not look at the monitor, in an effort to repair it, but rather send me a new one. She did apologize for the delay, citing personnel issues at the firm. I'll let you know when I finally get it. Overall, very disappointed in their dealings in this matter.

I want to purchase the TST 507 with four monitors and almost ordered the package last week.
I'm glad I did not order after seeing these post.
Think I'll shop a different brand.
Thanks, RMc

You want a system with one monitor and 4 sensors.
I've had no trouble with TST. I bought my system through a 3rd party reseller who ordered the wrong sensors from TST. When I made them aware of the error, they copied me on the email to TST who sent me a new set of sensors. I also received from TST the info. I needed to return the 1st set of sensors. All is well.

I have the TST 507RV system (four tires) and when I had a problem with the windshield mount they were very quick to fix it. I can only say good things about their customer service.

Mine is starting to act up. Exactly 1 hour into our trip, I'll lose one sensor. Strange part is that it's not always the same sensor. Shut it down and and turn it back on? Maybe pick up 2 of the 4.

Mine was iffy, until I installed the repeater.
Rock solid after that.

That was the same problem that I was experiencing. Would lose a sensor and after turning the monitor off, waiting a few minutes, and then back on again, would sometimes take hours to register all 4 again. Then it would lose another. Very frustrating! I installed a repeater, based on TST's recommendation with no affect.
I'm hoping that a new monitor will cure my problems, but unfortunately, I don't have a good feeling. Time will tell...

How old are your batteries? Ours did that when they needed to be replaced.

On mine, the batteries were changed NUMEROUS times. Did nothing to resolve the loss of signal problems.

I ordered my TST from great rv products and they sell batteries for the 507, two different kinds, well the same size difference manufacturers. When I have a problem they help me out. I mounted my monitor as high on the windshield as I could, maybe the monitor could get a better signal. I put a flow thru on my TrailAir pin box but that is not working out so good. The pressure inside the air bladder does not stay constant

I too have a TST 507. I looked forward to actually monitoring the temperature are pressure and, of course, put it on the dash of my coach. Worked for a while but then I began losing the right rear sensors occasionally. Sure I could cycle it and they might come back but eventually they dropped again.

In my rig there is a monstrous residential reefer between the dash are the right rear tires. The solution was to stop looking and the pressure since the device has a nice alarm function and put it on the counter in the galley against the outside wall. 8 feet closer to the right rears...and all is well. Repeater might have helped but in reality I should be watching the road and not the cycling tire numbers.

Bottom line is that the 507 operates as advertised. I have changed the batteries once with expected results.

I have the EEZTire Tire Pressure Monitoring System
No problems except 1 tire that I have signal problems with.
Just purchased the repeater, next trip will test that out.
