Not a stupid question. I means you do not have to remove the sender unit in order to put air in the tire.

At first I thought I would get the flow thru but have limited room on my tire, that is, the flow thru sensors are longer and those would stick out past the tire. When I purchased I called TST and they recommended the RV sensor which is shorter and not a flow thru.

I suppose being able to add air without removing the sensor is convenient but I found that once you get the pressure where you want it and your tires are not leaking I just don't have to add air often and removing the sensor is quick and simple.

I curious when the new update (new color monitor) will be released. Dan @ TST said everyone that already owns a system will be notified of its availability and will get a special upgrade offer.

It is a great system.

This is from the TST FAQ
"Each 510 wireless sensor weighs 23 grams, and each 507 sensor weighs 13 grams, both of which are negligible weights; ."

If is was me I won't have them re-balanced if my tires were already on the RV but if I was going to replace the tires I would leave them on during balancing. But that's me...

I just will add that you can't mix the 510 and 507 sensors. I bought the non flow through for the same reason.

Is the new color monitor going to address the loss signal? That the only complaint I have with the system.

Do you buy your replacement batteries for the 507 at Walmart or where. I looked at Batteries Plus and they were $4.00 apiece. I found batteries at Great RV Products for no name batteries for like a buck apiece and the Everready for two bucks apiece

Agree, IMO, that is a significant weight and can easily be balanced but I'm anal.

Assuming the tires are balanced prior to adding the sensors, I would weight the sensor on a postage scale (in grams) and add stick on weights to the opposite side of the tire to match the weight of the sensor.

You can get them on line or a motorcycle shop from 7 to 3 grams. They can be cut with snips to match the exact weight you add to one side. Then, as you say when you change tires, have them balance with the sensors in place.

Yep, Dan said the issue is addressed in the new monitor but he did not go into detail on it. So for now, I do not know how it will be addressed, the cost, or time frame.

I received my 507 this morning a went through and set it up. I'm only using 4 sensors for my TT only ,but noticed that the screen shows a darkened wheel for my front passenger tire on my TV. Is this a default or does anyone know how to remove it?

Fireman, I got this from a TST Operations Manager: "If you want to clear codes from your monitor follow the same instructions for coding, except as you toggle through and see your codes, press and hold the set button until it beeps and it will clear the code out. Tap the Mode button once you have cleared all of the codes and you should see no tires on your home screen."

To be clear, I wanted to clear the monitor and start over with a new set of sensors -- but if you will get your monitor to display the single unwanted tire and do what's written above, it will clear that unwanted tire. It is not the default... it was an unintended action on your part. No need to ask me how I know!
