TT Axles are for Utility trailer

Went to local Dealer yesterday to get some spare wheel bearings for my TT Rockwood 2608ws. Found out that the axels are designed for a small utility trailer. Had to go to a local bearing jobber to get utility trailer bearings for travel trailer. Just keep finding out about all the corners they cut to make these things cheaper so they can put a big price on them. Beginning to think I made a big mistake going with a new model maybe my 15 year old camper was much better than I thought.

Who makes the axles? You probably have Lippert axles. Funny how the GVWR is "TBA". I guess it's so they can put different axles on it. It has a 723 lb. tongue weight and a 5,675 lb. dry weight, so my guess is it'll be a GVWR around 6,800 lbs, which means two 3,000 lb. axles. Am I right? (One dealer has 6,635 lbs. as GVWR LOL)
The rats will do ANYTHING to save a nickle, trust me.

FYI - Axles don't know what they are made for-they just have a load rating.
If it mattered what was on top of the axles the axle manufacturers would have to tow around all the different types of trailers to test their axles instead of big weights...

Yes it is 3,000 lb axels they are dexter axels. mane from 2" sq tube. was thinking of installing scissor jacks on them for stabalizers but am not sure I should since they are so light weight. Afraid that if I accidently tighten them to much will bend the axels.
I know it does not matter what they are made for just concerned about them being so light weight. I understand that the 5ers have a 2"X 4" axel crosse member which is what I wish I had not 5er just bigger axel.

They are TorFlex torsion axles, not utility trailer axles! LOL

You will find if you investigate, those bearings are used in a multitude of other applications, gear boxes, etc. and a multitude of apps in the farm equipment business. They are more than adequate for the spindles if properly maintained.

They are "lite" for a reason. C.h.e.a.p. is how it's spelled, I think!

Don't think "C.h.e.a.p." is correct when you are laying the cash on the barrel head! Let's not start a class warfare here.

I meant 'cheap' as in to save money on build costs to maximize profits. Remember, I own a lowly popup... LOL
For example, my 2,000 lb. 2007 Starcraft 1701 has 3,500 lb. axles.
My 3,000 lb. 2012 Coachmen 126 has 3,000 lb. axles.
