Valve stem core issue ?

I just recently purchased a TST 507 TPMS.
Seems to be working great, except for one tire on the 5er.
On that one tire there's no reading, and no hiss of air escaping as I tighten the sensor onto that valve stem.
I'm guessing that this is because on an issue with the valve stem core.

Is there any adjustment I can do myself ?
I've seen ads for valve stem core tools, for removing/replacing the valve-stem core. Could I use one of these to just adjust the core to make the release pin protrude more so that it makes contact with the TPMS sensor ?
Or will I need to replace the valve stem and/or core ?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

There is no "adjustment" for a valve core...it's either screwed all the way in, or not. And it needs to be all the way in..
Just go to any local auto parts store and pick up a small kit that will include a valve core tool and several new cores. Only a few bucks. It's possible that the one your having trouble with is bad, and if so, just replace the core. Its a two minute job, and half that time will be spent letting air out of the tire.
I always keep a few spare cores and a core tool in my tool box.

Thanks for info. I just grabbed a 'Slime' brand valve stem core tool, complete with 4 replacement valve stem cores from Wally world this morning, for under $2, so might try replacing it tomorrow morning before heading out on our weekend trip
