weak springs on my crusader

On my way to Florida I was flagged down on I95 because the drivers side tires were smoking on the 5th wheel .
It turned out that every time I hit a bump in the road the tires would touch. After replacing both springs on the drivers side the distance between the tires was increased by 3 inches . I then replace all 4 tires and was back on the road.
After only 12000 miles on my crusader 295 I can not believe the springs weakened that much. Has anyone heard of anyone else having this problem. Your comments on this problem will be very welcome

My trailers wheels would touch the inner fender on off camber situations but not rub on the road! Are you ridding heavy?

Just curious, but why didn't you replace all 4?

My Sabre came with the wrong springs from the factory. All 4 broke within the 1st 1000 miles. I suggest anyone who has a Sabre verify your springs still have flex in them when loaded. Forest River blamed the issue on the company they purchase the trailer frames from. They did pay for the replacement springs when I returned them to the selling dealer upon my return 4 months later in the "spring". Like everything in these trailers the lowest cost and minimal standards are used. I just looked at a new Sabre today and his springs are also flat on the port side. Not broken yet.....

Had my Sabre five years, springs looked great when I got rid of it.
