Actually looks like someone had a 120v gasless flux-core wirefeed. Dad had one for tinkering around with. He never did like how crappy they did.

Hey. I have one of those. It's a Firepower 100 and something amp...it welds a ton better than that, but it is gas or gas less...and I have a 220v also and an a/c-d/c stick and POC 110v stick....it is worth more in copper than it is in a welder as you have to use 1/16" rods.

Why would they weld the stabilizer jacks to the frame on the front and bolt them on the back? To make a long story short I bent mine. I thought the front was ok so I changed the back ones out they were held on with one bolt and some screws. Poor mount in my books. I bolted the new ones on by drilling a new hole. One of the front ones was slightly bent so I was going to change them out. I got under there and discovered they're welded. CoRap

Me too. The old man turned me on to that when money was tight... or we ran out. Depended on what the job was of course.

I thought he was cheap. Then when I was old enough to buy rod myself I understood!

Yeah...

When I was stocking my new shop, after an entire career kept me away from that, I was shocked at the prices. Now I just buy just-in-time. Crazy expensive.

That's funny. I don't think that's a trailer frame. Theirs enough steel there to build 4 or 5 frames.
