what goes on the bottom of the tongue jack?

Got our Cherokee Gray Wolf 28bh yesterday and there is nothing on the bottom of the tongue jack - just the tube itself - no wheel, no plate, nothing.

Should there be something there? If so, what?

There should be a foot that slides on and is held by a locking pin. Did you get an accessory package that may be in the storage area? The foot is normaly removed and stored when traveling.

Hey prof fate, I bought the same cherokee 28bh a couple of months ago, love it ! The Sasks is right, mine has a round foot on the end that has a locking pin that goes through it to hold it on. Although I didn't know I was suppose to remove this when traveling. Anyway good luck with the new camper !

I had to buy a foot for mine. Tractor Supply, about $6.00. Never remove it for travel as it only adds about an inch. If you don't want to buy a foot, I recommend you at least get a piece of board, to keep the tube from sinking in the ground.

You can buy a "foot" that clips on or just use a piece of scrap wood. I use a piece of 4x4 about 6" or so long. Plus I have a short 2.5" bolt screwed into the wood that I place the tube over. In theory I was thinking it would prevent it from sliding off the wood, but it mostly just gives me something aim at when lowering.

searched the trailer and no foot is in residence. they left a piece of 4x4 and that should work fine I suppose.

most trailers come with a tongue wheel or a foot pad.
i would contact the dealer. i got a wheel with my HTT and bought a foot pad at CW.
i ended up installing a electric tongue jack and don't use the other two anymore.

i have a piece of 6x6 about 8 inches long as there was no foot plate on my jack either-less distance to screw the jack up/down!!
I now got an electric tongue jack (and love it) but still use the 6x6 so the electric jack doesn't have to travel so far (saving wear)

What brand name of electric jack did you get? How much did it cost you?

my electric tongue jack is a Husky HB3000 and i think i paid around $200 for it. i think it was money well spent when im hooking up the load leveling hitch and the trailer has got to be lifted twice!!!!!
