what the busted brake wire?

So i go to get trailer out of shop today and trailer brakes are REAL weak......i jack up gain to 10 and from a stop, manually engaging brake controller wont even keep truck from creeping along (of course i have the new 6.7 ford which prob is too much for the breaking system

Any way, i park it and whip out my car creeper and roll under for a look, and find one of the brake wires broken/cut on the drivers side.? It didnt have abrasion so i dont think it rubbed through.....what else couod have causd it? Ntot enough slack ? Road debris? I soldered it back together n shrink wrpped it all back together....but im not sure if i am overlooking another possible cause ?....

Ya know thats the first thing my dw and fil said when they saw me fixin ta fix it.....BUT they worked when i picked it up so it musta been something on my last trip to watch tx rangers game?.....one would think if it was road debris it would have more damage or evidence of 'trauma'.....either way its fixed and im going camping tomorrow...ha ha

May have been road debris or damage from a floor jack or jack stand. There's been a lot of damage caused by pinching something between the jack and frame.
