Not to get off topic, but even Timken and most of the other U.S. bearing companies are making a lot of their stuff overseas now. But when they move this stuff off-shore, they normally keep the same prints and specs, so regardless of where its made, you should get a better part than the cheap OEM part...

If you have the 6000 lb Lippert axle, this is the seal I have had good luck with.

Grease Seals 10-36 (pair) TruRyde Seals for Trailer Bearings RG06-070

And yes I do recommend Etrailer. They have provided great service for me.

Good Luck

It's not only Columbus that is having problems with inner hub seals. The Lippert axle is used on many Palomino brands and it is talked about on other forums both here and an Facebook groups such as Columbus, Sabre,
Palomino, RVing on a Budget, Fulltime Families, etc. It's widely known that the seals are cheap China junk.

Bottom line is get a good double lip seal and install it correctly. Then rotate the hub as you are pumping new grease in. The seal is Double Lip Grease Seal - 4000#-8000# Trailer Axle Hub-2.25" ID x 3.376" OD

Here is the link to order it from Lippert. Personally I would go to Napa or your favorite auto parts store and get a good name brand version. Lippert is charging 6 bucks a seal plus shipping. That is serious price markup!

Ken, I got these numbers from another guy in our Columbus Owners Facebook group. He too them off of the seals that were damaged on his trailer. I got them because I think mine us having the same problem with the brakes and deals. I hope this helps

Same with me Ken, Lippert has authorized service call to fix my axles and brakes, I just need the snow to be gone to get it out of the yard.
