I mounted mine on the back side of the propane tank cover. Use a battery maintainer with a plug on the side of the battery box I added a mating plug to the end of the repeater pwr cord so when I unhook the battery maintainer for the trip, I plug in the repeater.

How do wire the toggle switch to the repeater ?

My repeater came with red and black wires with an inline fuse on the red wire. I cut the red wire between the fuse and repeater and wired my SPST toggle switch there.
