Two tires I have gotten very good use from and both 10 ply rated are the Master Craft (made by cooper USA) and the Toyo ATs.

My current tires are 225/75/15 and I have 5 inches of space between the front/rear axcle tires. I should have no problem switching to 225/75/16.

There is a local firestone shop nearby that has firestone transforce tires in stock. I guess I'll give them a shot.

This may be too late, but we changed our 14" tires out to 16" (plus upgraded the axles) Michelin XPS Rib tires on our 1999 Airstream Safari five years ago and have never had a problem with them -- the spare has not hit the ground! Wonderful, stress-free traveling! Size: LT225/75R16
