X-chocks
I've heard others here say that x-chocks help stabilize the TT. So my question is if they are used on one side or both sides?

They are sold in sets unless you have a very wide spread.
If I used them I would do so on both sides.

I use them on both sides. Back in, first step in setup process. When leaving, hitch up last thing to come off.

As the others have said- both.
I've noticed that even Rotochock has gone to selling them as pairs.

I was at the Indianpolis RV show and the guys selling the x-chocks said they only need to be used on one side...he also stated that they are only sold as one per box....looks like he was completely wrong....

X-chocks can still be bought one per box, but they also offer them in sets of two... I went with two, more because I wanted both wheels "chocked." Don't know how much more stability you with two over just one.

Perhaps.
All of the ones I have looked at online and in store are per pair except for the long reach one.
I would guess his outfit does sell them one per box.
For my own use I an more inclined to use a good set of rubber wheel chocks and something like JT's strong arm system.

We purchased a set of x-chocks when we picked up the TT from the dealer. They came as a set of two in the box. They had a pallet load of them on sale.
I use them on both sets of wheels. Use rubber wheel chocks when first unhooking and leveling the trailer. Once it's leveled I put the x-chocks on.
I usually only using them at the campground. Just use the wheel chocks when it's in the driveway.

Just bought a set for the toyhauler last week. They come in singles or in pairs. The price of two single ones is about $4 more than the set of two, plus when you buy the singles, you get two wrenches. When you buy the set, you only get one wrench.

I have always used mine as a set. I also use wheel chocks on both sides also. I read on a different post That some one only used on and the trailer mover and fell off the jack.

I read about someone blowing out his tires after using the X-Chocks due to over tightening them....not sure how crazy he got with tightening them though.
I wonder how many people that has happened to? Kinda scary.

Maybe this is true but I really can't see it. I've used x chocks for years and unless he is using a 2 foot breaker bar to tighten them I really can't see how you could put the type of force on the tire to cause that type of damage. Use the little blue ratchet wrench that comes with them and you'll see what I mean. They are a great product for sure and a nice piece of mind. I use 2 and you can also put a small padlock on them to prevent them from being removed should you wish. For those with axels that are spread more you can get the extended x chocks too.

Somebody is blowing smoke in someone's rear about blowing a tire. I put them on as soon as I am stopped in a site and BEFORE unhooking. It is the very last thing I remove before leaving a campground. I also use them for the hitch test. Been using them for 8 yrs now and never had a problem with the tires ever moving or the X-Chocks loosening after cooling.

It has been stated on a previous thread to let the tires cool before applying the xchocks due to the tires might be swollen from heat of travel. The xchocks are actually one of the last steps I do when setting up and one of the first things I take off when hooking up. It has also been stated that if the chocks are cinched down on the tires when jacking the front of the camper, this puts undue stress on the tires.
I use a pair and they help take away the forward/backward motion.

I gotta go with OC on this one...... FIRST thing that I put on when I park - LAST thing I take off before I leave.  Been using the X-chocks or the regular ones for over 6 years.
