X chocks or simular for tires 1/2" apart.

I want to get a set of X chocks for my 5th wheel but my problem is my 33' Cedar creek's tire spacing is about 1/2"- 1" between the tires. I have regular wheel chocks, but they only work in a prefect "level" world. A lot of the camping we do is not on level ground and the one side of the trailer may be up on as much as 6" of blocks. Regular wheel chocks are useless on that side.

Homemade wheel chocks would work as only the threaded rod has to fit between the tires. Here's a link about making them...

If you have less than 1" between your tires, the tires are too big. When I changed to my new Surveyor, I had to get rid of my Bal Deluxe Chocks and go to the X chocks. The X chock will go down to 1 3/8". If you have less than that you might want to try Roto Chock. They will make them custom to fit your wheel spacing.

My previous fifth wheel tires were so close I too couldn't get an X chock between them. Then I found these at rotochok.com They work great. Rotochok Online

I agree it the tires are very close together but as the picture show this is what is suposed to be on this unit. Thanks for all the replies. I will look into making my own or pricing out the roto ones.

I am surprised they recommend a Light Truck (LT) for a trailer.

Man, they're close together...it's always been like that? I'm wondering if you have worn out bushings in the leaf spring mounts that closes up the gap.

I just had it in to get the axles straightened less than a month ago. (I was noticing uneven tire wear). The shop that did the work said its one of the closes spacing they have ever seen. When it was in the shop getting the axles straightened I got them to just go right through it and check bearing, brakes, repack, etc.. I would have hoped they would have noticed if something was not right under there. But maybe not. The 5th wheel is a 31LBHBS ( 33' ) 2007 Cedar Creek Silverback by Forest River. We are very happy with this unit, not a single problem to date ( touch wood ). I might contact Forest River and see if thats normal for this model or if the suspension is staring to wear out.
