2005 Cardinal

I purchased a 2005 Cardinal from Giant Recreation World in Ormond Beach, Fl. Nov. 2011. Its been parked until Aug.10, 2012 since then we have traveled about 5500 miles. Two weeks ago we wewre in WV and had significant problems, the unit was moving 2-3 feet in each direction above the wheels. It appears the unit had come loose from the frame, you could lean on it and the body would bounce off the tires, in fact there are clear wear grooves on all 4 tires. Forest River offered no assistance, if you have a 2005 Cardinal you need to get it checked. The people who looked at mine don't know how we kept it on the road. Protect yourself

2005 Cardinal

The welds and bolts connecting the frame and floor came apart, the outriggers also all came loose, the frame also was curling showing structual weakness. I do have pictures and sent them to Forest River. This problem showed suddenly and quickly became dangerous over less than 100 miles of interstate highway. Have yours check protect yourself, they have had frame problems before.

Sounds like it was beat to death and stressed. Probably why the original owner sold it. I have seen the 3/8" bolts and nuts work loose so it's deffinitely something you should check frequently.
