2007 Cardinal 30TS Cold Weather Question

Just bought an '07 30TS 5th wheel. We are full timers living in Oregon and are wondering if we are going to have any trouble heating our rv in the winter. Any input would be appreciated.

On our previous TT we used an oil filled radiator purchased from home depot to save on LP usage. It did a great job keeping us warm and toasty.

Thanks again! We were thinking of trying one of those new ceramic heaters.

We looked at a number of used Cardinals but never found a floor plan we liked. The Cardinal is considered a four season trailer, so you should have no problem with full time living.

We have both the oil filled radiator heater and a ceramic heater. Buy the oil filled radiator heater. We use it to keep our trailer warm all winter long when not in use here at home(Seattle area). It only adds about $20.00 per month on the electric bill. We keep the trailer around 50 degrees so things stay warm enough.

Hope this helps.

Have fun in your new trailer.

Thanks.

Jon

We have the same 30TS 5th wheel trailer in a 2008 and love it. We use a ceramic heater when dry camping as the Cardinal heater drains the batteries in a couple of days unless you are careful. Oil filled works as well but as we like it warm the ceramic is a tad better option. Good luck and enjoy your travels!
