2015 Cardinal 3675RT

We are taking delivery on a new 3675RT next week, but there is a discrepancy on the specs for the exterior height. The 2014 brochure says 13'0" and the new online specs for the wide body (which is what we are getting) says 13'9". Waiting to hear from the dealer on exact height......... Does anyone know for sure? We DON'T want the 13'9" height! Thanks.

I just got a 3800 FL Cardinal and measured the height, it was 13'8" from front ac to ground. It is an arched roof and is a wide body. I picked it up 2 weeks ago and it is a 2015.

I am not 100% sure but I believe the legal maximum height in most states is 13 feet 6 inches. Maybe someone with more knowledge could clarify in greater detail.

Your statement appears to be correct. Check out this site: http://drivinglaws.aaa.com/laws/trailer-dimensions/

Wow, there is no way I would buy a fifth wheel that is 13'9" unless it was going to be set up on a permanent site.

Check on the Cardinal RV club site. I think the height is 13 ft 4 1/2 in. On the Cardinal site it mentioned the 13ft 9in height was a misprint.

It is against Dot regs to put trls over 13,6 on the road. You woild need an over ht permit. That is a misprint. They are plenty tall already

So I will recheck my figures that I first measured. I must be off, that just seems as lot of different depending on who you look at. I just don't want to hit a anything with the trailer. I will check it again maybe without my son on top of the trailer.

Remember it will be taller when it is up on 6 point leveling. Mine goes up 4 or 5 inches.

going to be a few inches different on every truck due to hitch height, but 13'6 is the DOT limit.

Yup , it's 13' 6". If they were any taller I know an overpass over I-10 in Houston that would have AC units stacked up under it. It's 13' 6".
It's always a good idea when you hitch up the first time to get up on the roof and measure from your highest point to make sure. It will give you some piece of mind.

Just purchased 2014 Cardinal 3850RL. Sitting on the scale hooked to truck it measures 13'9". The booklet also says 13'9". I see that on the 2015 models they have changed it to 13'6". Any advice on information to let us know clearance information?

We too are having the same issue...ours is measuring (cardinal 3850 year 2015) 13'9" when hitched ....we noticed on I 75 there is a bridge that says 13'7" in Detroit! Is there any maps we can download or anywhere else to get bridge Heights down 75?

I am in the processing of ordering a 3850RL and the height is a concern of mine. The pamphlet gives the height at 13.6. I can not wait to see if it is correct or not.

I think the mistake we made is ordering the extra air conditioning unit upfront.

Get a truckers Atlas it . You can buy one in any Truxk stop. In the front it will show the low bridge hts for all hiways trucks can travel on. You can also download Truckroutes.com on your smart phone . It uses google maping and will route you around low bridges. I still don't understand why Cardinal got it in thier collective heads to make the trls taller. Semi trls have a standard 13, 6" height. They really need to rethink it. You can also get a Rv or trucking Gps and put in your data and they will route you but always double check with your trucking Atlas. Remember that things change and when in doubt don't go under. New York heights are measured from the curb not the road. Hope that helps.

We have the low profile A/C on the 3800FL Cardinal. I does not seem to add much height though. It is at the dealer for another 2 weeks. I will set up on my truck and laser check it for the true height on my set up.
