2019 Cardinal 3350

We had a free day today so we took in the local NE Florida RV show. We really wanted to see the 3350 RLX and the changes if any. All I can say, we are glad we got the 2018 3350. The wood tone and finish was bland, not a real wood look. It is missing the rear cap, the island’s missing drawers, the rearranged sink, the solid surface area along with the pop up tv in the kitchen slide. In the bedroom, the overhead cabinets and enclosed tv area is gone leaving visible cords, the missing drawers in the front closet area along with a no name vacuum. The bathroom lost the larger medicine cabinet. The spare tire is now under the frame, it had Westlake tires instead of GY G-614s. There is now an outside tv on the table slide along with some small nightstands on either side of the bed. All switches and monitors were now separate instead of the one control panel. Not sure if that is good or bad. Again, we a sure glad we found our 2018.

My Heartland dealer brought in 4 Cardinals and can not sell one of them. No appeal, lousy cabinet finishes, overall quality is not what Cardinal was widely known for. Non starter for us when we bought our Bighorn.

Why would a Heartland dealer offer a Forest River product?

My local dealers here carry multiple different products. For example, both Forest River products and GrandDesign products are sold by the same dealer here. They also carry Thor, Winnebago, Tiffen and FR Motor coaches.

I think they do it to appeal to as many consumers as possible.

Same for us. We bought the 2018 Cardinal 3350 ad couldn't be happier with it. We saw the 2019 model at the Pomona RV show last Fall and were very disappointed by the changes; all the same reasons mentioned above. Principally, the solid wall now where the TV is mounted. Losing the window in that location removes much of the open feel we have in the 2018 model. Looks like a step backwards. Just my opinion.

We also got a 2018 Cardinal 3825 FL and we are also glad we didn't wait for the 2019. Did they change to reduce the number of models?
