31RKT slide issue

I have a 05 Cardinal 31 RKT that has been pretty good trailer however the main slide has developed an issue where the side that has the hydraulic cylinder retracts as normal but the other side does not. I can push it in and out so know it's not locked or froze up. Cant see under belly due to enclosure panels.
Is there a drive axle with pinion that transmits to rack on non hyd. side?
Thinking I may have sheared drive axle, pinion etc.

Any shared knowledge of this system would be appreciated.

Thanks

My 2002 28' has a cable set up to equalize the pull on the large slide out. If yours is so equipped perhaps the cable has worked loose or came out of pulleys or even broke?
