5th wheel slides

My husband and I are proud owners of our first Cardinal 5th wheel and have a question about the slides. Can the slides go in and out independently, do all of them have to go out or in together?

Sorry . . . it's a 30' 2009 Cardinal 5th wheel with 3 slides. Don't have the model number right at the moment.

Not certain on yours, but our 2012 Silverback has 2 slides - bedroom and living area - and the bedroom starts exrending before the living area slide does and vice versa when retracting. They both reach their fully open/close position about the same time.

Our unit has 2 knobs that I was told can be opened/closed to isolate either slide if you do not want one or the other slide to open/close, but i have never used them.

Quick answer NO

I am going to guess that you have hydraulic operating slides and landing legs. With that thought in mind you can go to the hydraulic manifold and operate each line by using a power drill of some sort. That should be covered in the lippert manual.

Not sure if you got the answer you were looking for but our 2006 Cardinal has a Hydraulic manifold in the front storage bay where the landing gear is. There are four differnt pins that can be moved up or down in order to move each slide by itself. All pins down no slides move, all pins up they all move one after another or like I said with just one pin up just that slide will move. Makes it easy to get to the back bunk house without moving the bedroom slide first.

Each of my 3 slides has a valve at the hyd pump. I could turn one or two off if I wanted. Might come in handy when troubleshooting or making a repair.

Look for a manifold above the hydraulic tank. There maybe thumb wheels to turn in to shut off a particular slide. I beleive it was an option. That's what I have.
