you can get up on the roof and remove the shroud and make the sure cooling fins are free of dust. I looked at mine late last summer, and there was quite a bit of cottonwood fluffies clogging the fins. Internally, if the AC isnt ducted, or at least has the removable panel right below it, you can clean the refrigerating fins too. They can get compacted with dust on the intake side. On my old trailer, I've used an old toothbrush and vacuum to clean them out.

There should be a removable filter on the inside of the unit accessed by a removable levered panel in the ceiling unit. Remove the rooftop cover and clean debris from the unit.

Hi, good thing got up on top and checked out the a/c. first the shroud was cracking in several screw holes, on the main body top and the unit was extremely dirty with wasp nestings, luckily no wasps. Brought shroud down to repair and while doing that we had a good rain so cleaned the a/c unit up pretty well. Epoxy used on cracks and some light metal reinforcing. Reinstalled today, will be on road soon, will find out how well a repair job I did. Those new shrouds go for around $150.00 plus!!!!! Thank you all for ideas & suggestions.
