arctic pac

Hi folks, I'm acquiring a 1999 Cardinal fifth wheel series M-36RLE LX. Trailer has been "permanently" installed on concrete slab, skirted, with septic, power and 125 Gal propane supply. There is a switch under cabinet above countertop labled Arctic Pac. Can anyone tell me what this is and how it functions.

It controls heating pads on the fresh water, grey water and black water tanks as well as the elbow fittings near the dump valves. They are thermostatically controlled to turn on at 44 degrees so the liquids in the tank don't freeze and possibly crack the fittings or ruin the tanks.

Arctic Pac

Thank you Cfsoistman. Do know if the Arctic Pac would include other features like extra insulation to greater R values?

I believe it's still the standard insulation and just the added heating pads. I haven't seen any upgraded insulation (R-Values) available. This would be a nice option especially for colder climate RV owners.
