Black and grey tank question

We have a 2016 cardinal 3825FL. There are 3 light indicators for the wastewater labeled galley, grey and black but there is only water in 2 of the tanks when it's time to dump. Black works fine, bit shower, galley and bathroom sink are all going in one and doesn't hole much at all. Is something wrong?

Not familiar with your set up.

Really not enough info but there should be 3 dump handles The Galley is kitchen waste water, grey bathroom sink / shower and black- toilet.

When you say the tank is small what size should it be and could be your showering habits making it fill faster. Do you take Navy showers ?? or leave the water run during a shower. If you leave the water running your tank will fill faster.

Had the same problem. Was told that the third tank (grey) is plumed for the clothes washer, that we don't have. What is worse, we also have a dishwasher going into the galley tank along with the shower, and both sinks. Dumb setup, if anything there should have been a third grey tank.

There was a recent thread about some trailers where the second grey tank was plumbed to only the outdoor kitchen sink. Sounds similar.

I have the same floor plan as you. The second grey tank is for the washer hook up. It is not an Ideal set up to be sure.
If you are hooked up to park sewage we leave the grey valve open and make a slight bend in the line like a u close to the park hookup to help with keeping gas out. Of course water in the p traps would do it anyway but this is Just another stopping point .
Just simple everyday usage without the dishwasher fills the grey fast enough. With the dishwasher I think they should have plumbed the two grey together or plumbed the dishwasher to the back one.
Design flaw on manufacturers part.
Otherwise it is a super unit.

Go to cardinals website and look up your model and you can get the specs for your tanks there

Rear waste tank

The specs don't break down the 2 separate gray tanks

I certainly hope this isn't the case. What a waste that would be! The doc I've read says 65+12 fresh water, 40+40+40 black/gray/gray. We are about to take delivery of our 2017 3850RL, and it will have washer/dryer, but I'd never consider using it while on tanks(non-full hookup).
