Cardinal 3800 fl

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me I am looking to import a Cardinal 3800fl, I have a 2004 dodge ram 2500, 5.9 l turbo diesel heavy duty, I was wondering if my dodge will tow this or will I need to upgrade to the 3500 dodge, I hope not as I love my dodge. Thanx for any help

pulling it isn't the problem, pin weight might be the problem. Do you have the specs on the Cardinal and payload capacity of your truck?

Hi if i have this right payload on the dodge is 2500 - 3,240llb, on the Cardinal hitch 2,110llb, ship weight 13,639llb, gvwr 15,790llb, we where hoping if we put air bags on that we would be ok. Thanx for your help

you'll likely be really close if not a lit over your payload, depending on load in truck and camper. Air bags help keep it from sagging to much, but they do not increase your payload capacity.

you might want to get an exact payload for your truck. You gave a broad range to work on. Don't let a 100 lbs over deter you from the camper you like.

Check your gear ratio tou can up the tow by changing th gear ratio
