Which one is the top of the lineup?

I looked a Big Horn, Cardinal and Cedar Creek . I liked the Cardinal more, but it is what you like that counts.

yes I have seen the river stone at the rv show in hersey pa. nice just about the same layout as the champagne. it has so nice extras .

To me it depends on the dealer and how good he is if you are interested in the Cedar Creek RV or Cardinal RV. The dealer can make buying an RV all the difference between a good experience or bad experience with either model. We went with the Cedar Creek model because there is no Cardinal dealer in the area.

One feature we like in the Cedar Creek model is the outside door, this has a peep hole instead of a full frosted window in the door. This prevents excess light and heat from entering the RV durning the day and helps keep it cool. Do a search and see how many people put in foil to block the excess heat and light that enters through this window in the door, Cedar Creek has eliminate that problem.

But what makes you happy! BUT, remember that BLACK draws heat. If you do go that route, I would go full body paint!
Think about summers in Fl or AZ or Vegas. They don't tell you that in a sales pitch.
Get an added 100,000 btu AC for the bedroom vs std 13,000. 😁

Materials are the same,quality depends on time of day and day of week.

The Estate Edition Cardinals are very nice.

The construction of the Cardinal vs. the Cedar Creek is completely different, laminated side walls in the Cardinal, hung side walls on 16” centers in the Cedar Creek. Both are excellent units so buy from the dealer that will provide “excellent” service after the sale.

"laminated " as in a press or a vacume bag or? What is the exterior material?

It's vacuum bonded and the exterior is gel coat.

I would not say replaced the Trilogy as the River Stone is built in it's own factory in Millersburg but would say they just added a new line of product and at 2 levels, one with more options and higher components. Their web site does not yet show the 2 different levels of units, hope they fix it soon.

The "hung" walls are gel coat too,but the product is Filon,thin plywood,a layer of resin impregnated fiberglass matt,and gelcoat.My question is , what is the exterior wall material that is vacume bonded (vacume bagged) to the wall frameing comprised of? "gel coat" is a unreinforced,colored polyester resin which can be either orthophalic or isophalic in compossition,the biggest difference being (after cost) its ability tostand up to UV light with out degradeing.

Have you seen the construction video on the Cedar Creek webpage. Go to Forest River RV manufacture website hit fifth wheel then click on the Cedar Creek. Under the Cedar Creek banner you will see several different subsections one of them is videos click that. There is a YouTube video labeled construction this explains how the Cedar Creek is built. Hope that helps?

checked out the video on the Cedar Creek site but there isn't one for the Cardinal. I wonder which construction method is best for a full-timer. Not sure about the frame for the Cardinal but the C/C has a 10" I beam with a box tube welded to the bottom. What does the Cardinal have for a frame?
