This is a known problem for certain Cardinal years. Call Tredit. They've been good about replacing them.

Check the other wheels closely, you most likely have more cracks.

Thanks. I will check all the wheels. Is Tredit the name of the supplier or manufacture?

DH thinks the supplier. We put different rims on our bird fairly soon after buying. This has been discussed quite a bit on another cardinal site.

Thank you every one for all your help. The wheels are not covered under any warranty. Because of the "possibility" of more cracks I just ordered new rims (t07) with a higher load rating.

Hopefully this is the last problem for a while. David

Thanks all. Bought all new wheels capable of a "G" rated tires. The Goodyear G614 tires are U.S. Made but over $350 each installed. The local dealer is also offering a compatible rated tire for almost half the cost. Does anyone have experience with either the Goodyear G614 or a compatible as far as durability or wear. Thanks

I put G614s on my 07 Cardinal fifth in the spring of 08 and they wore just fine with no problems till I ordered my 2016 3850RL Cardinal in the spring of this year. Of course, I ordered this one with the same tires.

Thank you. Seems like almost everyone says the same thing. Not sure why on a unit this heavy they are not standard. Hope to meet you in the road. Gave a blessed week

I have the same rims on my 2011 Cardinal 3804. Got a rim crack, a few Marathon tire blowouts, bought new rims from Tredit and new G rated G614 Goodyear tires from Camping World on sale. I feel much safer on the road now.

Great to hear the positive feedback. Sounds like we will start having less exciting travel/tire/wheel stories.

Just a quick question here having just returned from the Goshen rally. The Lionshead folks were saying that they provide all the tires and wheels for FR with the only exceptions being the Prime Time RV line. I know that Prime Time does use Tredit for wheels and tires. So my question did Cardinal use Tredit in the past and now has changed to Lionshead?
