Pretty sure its one of these, but you'd have to pull the bulkhead and get eye's on to know for sure.

Converter

I have a 2015 Cardinal 3850 and have replaced the converter twice. This is my third one. Mine was behind the fuse panel. The only way to get to it was remove the basement panel and crawl over water and heater hoses.

don't know the floorplan of your cardinal. I have a 3825. I found the converter behind a bulkhead wall in the basement storage compartment. look for an access panel on the bulkhead wall. there is one by the water center on the drivers side to access water fittings. there is one on the passenger side to access the converter. ours is a PD 9270 (70 amp). of course yours may be different based upon the floorplan.
