Disc Brake conversion on 3850RL

Wow is all I can say! Had my 2017 Cardinal 3850RL for a year now. Braking wasn't horrible(not great either) with the exception of panic stops that would make me worry about pushing a car through an intersection. Had the guys from Performance Trailer Braking Titan Hydraulic Disc Brake Conversion Kits and Installation come out, and do the disc brake conversion yesterday. Job looks factory installed, and the installer was very professional. Trailer stops much better now, with the promise of even more improvement as the brake pads burnish in. I was running my Ford brake controller at 10, now turned down to 7, and probably headed to 6 as they break in.

Trailers this heavy really need this upgrade, and had I noticed this on the order sheet when we placed our order, I would have gotten it then. $2750 fully installed.

Wife and I just ordered a 2018 Cardinal 3250RL and it has the Dexter Hydraulic Disc Brakes with a 7000 #axle as a option and they were first on my list. I truly believe these heavier trailers should have Disc brakes as a standard feature. I was reading a article on the comparison between Disc and Drum and the Disc brake equipped campers had a 30 to 40 percent shorter stopping distance. That's pretty impressive.

I sure don't need it for my rig but for the heavier trailers I think it is a great safety addition and something folks that tow allot should look at. You guys are making the right move.
