Disc Brake option

Just wondering if anyone has ordered the Disc Brake option on their Cardinal, if so was it worth the extra money. Being a heavy trailer seems like the disc brakes would be worth it.

We got disc brakes standard on our new River Stone and probably will never have a trailer without them. Yes I feel they are worth the money but I would want 17.5" H rated tires also, ours came with that also which was one reason we went with the River Stone. Good luck on your decision.

$1,400 to $2,300, depending on how mechanically challenged one is.

According to Brannon at Jeff Couches RV Nation it's $1995. Which isn't a bad price because you also up grade to the #7000 axles. Other dealers might charge more but this was in the package that they quoted me for the 2018 Cardinal 3250RL. I'm sure you could retro fit any camper but you won't have the #7000 axles

Considering the cost and labor involved to retrofit the brakes, $1995 is a seriously fair price.

Considering the standard brakes come with the 6K axles and 10 inch I beams and the optional Disc Brake package comes with 7K axles and 12 inch I beams it's a very good price. No brainer I know what one of the options I'm going with. This will be my last 5th wheel purchase so I'm going to get it the way I want.
