Furniture trim peeling

Any ideas as to what would cause approximately 5" of the dresser corner to peel? Both corners are peeling as well as one corner on the bed. It's been under roof all winter. 3625 RT YR 2010.

Thanks
T-Man

Here is a picture of the peeling. It extends about 6" up from floor. When not camping its in covered storage.

I would suspect that moisture got to it making it expand. Was it high humidity where it was stored?

It looks as though moisture got into the trim and made the trim expand. Is your storage area climate controlled?

No it is not temperature controlled. I had the trim replaced. I do have moisture rocks in the BR but in the closet. I'll be adding a fresh supply. Thanks Forum!!

Just an update. I replaced the trim and bought a bucket of moisture absorber. Don't anticipate any further issues.
