Hello.

http://www.tomschaeffers.com/product...orest-river-rv

New to the forum. We're a bout to pull the trigger on this 5th wheel. Looking for opinions on price. Asking price is 7,550 as is.

What are the thoughts on the model and price?

Anything I should look for? We're new to campers so want to make sure we're getting something half decent.

Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Your link did not go to what ever it was you wanted folks to look at. You might try listing the make and model.

Not sure if it's the pic but the one showing the rear driver's side, looks like delam.
All kinds of bumps showing.

Do not buy for any price.
Serious water damage on the driver side rear and on back of trailer. That wavy look is called delamination. The bad part is what you can't see which is most likely mold in the walls.

Thank you for the help. I will inspect the area. I see the bumps in the picture. What should I look for in person to confirm?? I didn't detect a smell inside when we looked at it.

Inside the camper I can't get at that side because it's a built in shelf/closet.

The roof along the edges is soft feeling where the roof meets the side. Likley culprit for the leak or prior leak???

Thanks for the help. We signed papers on it but didn't pay yet.

Delamination is the absolute WORST thing to find in a RV.
It's pretty easy to identify. If that pic is accurate, the repair would cost thousands.

I agree with the other posters about the delam, Just a guess but it might cost as much as the trailer asking price to fix the problem. My take is pass on this one

Wow, can't believe it's Tha expensive to fix.

I appreciate the help. Going to call and pass on this Monday.

The hard thing is finding a 5th wheel for 8k or less.

We need the space due to living in it for a few months while our home is being built. Have a 3 year old also so space is helpful
